I’m super excited to begin to introduce you to Cara. Cara is my dear friend. She is a Jesus follower, a wife, and is a momma of 7 kiddos . When Cara delivered her 4th baby, she found out he had Down Syndrome. Her journey has not been easy, grief is a large part of it. Her son Kaden passed away 2 years ago, taking pieces of her heart with him. The Lord laid on my heart to ask her if I could do a special Line to remember Kaden, and I’m so thankful she said yes. I pray that as you hear pieces of her story tomorrow, you will remember Kaden and the life the Lord had for him here on earth. The color of these new earrings are a burnt orange color as that was Kaden’s color. From a young age, Cara would dress him in orange. He just happened to be an escape artist, and if he was in orange, she could spot him quickly. Cara and her family wear orange almost every day to remember and celebrate Kadens life ❤️ And now you can be part of that memory of Kaden as you support this new line of earrings in our upcoming DS Awareness release!
10% of all sales goes to the DSDN👇
What an amazing opportunity I have to team up with my friend Julia to create a beautiful line of earrings to help fundraise for Down Syndrome Awareness!
Julia and her husband, Hans, have been married 10 years. They have three children; Emma, Livy, and their youngest Benji who happens to have Down syndrome.
From Julia : When Benji was born, I didn’t immediately join any support groups for Down syndrome. Somewhere around Benji’s first birthday, I found a birth group through the DSDN. Through this group, I made friendships, received advice, celebrated milestones... It is a wonderful community and I’m so glad to give back to it!
10% of the proceeds from each of these earrings sold will go directly to the DSDN (Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network) (unless on sale)
Each earring in this section will be handmade when the order is received, so please allow a week or two for processing (it may not take that long- it just depends on how many orders I have at the time!)
Shop away and support the DSDN!
Please note that although polymer clay is a sturdy material, it can break! Please refrain from dropping your earrings and treat them with upmost care. Don't bend them, and avoid getting creams, sprays, water, etc on the pieces. Also, do not sleep in your earrings.
To clean polymer clay earrings (only if needed), use a soft cloth with damp water and wipe gently. You can also use a bit of nail polish remover and GENTLY wipe your earrings if needed.
All earrings are handmade and each piece will have its own creative flair! Slight variations may occur with each one!
